Banbury Fire Cadets

Banbury Fire Station

The cadet unit at Banbury Fire Station has been running since 2005 and meets on a Thursday evening between 6:30pm and 8:30pm term time only.

The majority of our instructors are whole time firefighters based at Banbury Fire Station, who bring a wealth of both technical and practical knowledge to the cadet sessions.

Banbury Fire Cadets get to see many aspects of the Fire and Rescue service.  Banbury Fire Station offers training facilities others cannot, such as the purpose built smokehouse used for realistic breathing apparatus training.

Whilst there is a serious aspect to the training, the intention is to make all the sessions interesting and with an element of fun.

In addition to the Fire Cadet training nights, we also hold fundraising events with proceeds helping the Banbury Cadet Unit and Local Charities, as well as The Fire Fighters Charity.

Banbury Fire Cadet Unit welcomes both boys and girls aged between 12 and 18 to the unit and our experienced male and female instructors are here to help and guide wherever possible.
