Kidlington Fire Cadets

Kidlington Fire Station

The cadet unit at Kidlington Fire Station has been running since 1998 and meets on a Monday evening between 18:30pm and 20:30pm term time only.

Kidlington Fire Cadets train regularly with items of equipment such as ladders, hose and take on tasks such as building improvised dams that can be used on the fire ground.

In addition to the Kidlington Fire Cadet training nights, they also hold fundraising events with proceeds helping the Kidlington Unit and local charities, as well as The Fire Fighters Charity.

Part of the Cadets Community Safety promotion and charity work includes taking an active part with Kidlington Fire Station Crews at The Fire Fighters Charity National car wash days.

The promotion of Community Safety is high on the agenda for Kidlington Fire Cadets. The Kidlington Unit recently assisted Kidlington Fire Station Crews with promoting Community Safety at a local Fire Fit event at Gosford Leisure Centre.

Along with other Oxfordshire Fire Cadet Units, Kidlington Fire Cadets get the opportunity to attend local and national summer camps. Kidlington Fire Cadets parade along with Kidlington Fire Crews for Remembrance Day.
