Witney Fire Cadets

Witney Fire Station

The cadet unit at Witney Fire Station has been running since 1993 and meets on a Monday evening between 7:00pm and 21:00pm term time only.

Witney Fire Cadets take an active role in supporting Witney Fire Stations annual events and activities.  They play a pivotal part in supporting Fire Station Open Days by giving demonstrations of the skills they have achieved in small training scenarios.

The Fire Cadets assist in Community Safety activities within Witney town centre and also help with collections and fund raising for charities.

Witney Fire Cadets have paraded in London at the fire fighters memorial at St Paul’s Cathedral and also parade yearly with Witney Fire Station Crews on Remembrance Day.

Throughout the summer holidays Witney Fire Cadets get the opportunity to attend days out arranged by the unit. Which have ranged from day trips to London to visits to the Fire Brigade Museum, a trip up the Thames aboard London Fire Brigades boat to a day out at Alton Towers. Along with other Oxfordshire Fire Cadet Units they get the opportunity to attend local and national summer camps.
