Multicultural

Our multicultural advisors work with various ethnic communities to provide fire safety advice as sometimes the social conditions and language limitations of these groups can put them and their families at greater risk from fire.

By working with voluntary groups and other organisations, we are building relationships with our ethnic communities to make more services and our safety advice accessible to them.

You may be eligible for a free home fire safety check where a fire safety officer will visit your home and provide safety advice or we have an online Home Fire Risk Check Request form that you can complete if you prefer.

If you would like to find out if you are eligible for a free Home Fire Risk Check please email: community.safety@oxfordshire.gov.uk.

Also we work with the community by:

  • Talking to groups and deliver presentations on fire safety and road safety.
  • Working in partnership with faith schools to educate pupils and teachers on fire and road safety.
  • We work in partnership with the following organisations to promote fire safety:
    • Age UK
