Seatbelts

The following adverts promote the importance of always wearing a seatbelt.

Always wear a seatbelt

The first section of this film is a collision happening in reverse slow motion.

Through the drivers side window the driver is slumped over the steering wheel and the front passenger is slumped back in his seat.

The horn is sounding slowly the drivers head moves backwards away from the steering wheel.  The rear passenger is sitting down on the back seat.  A map travels backwards from the dashboard to the parcel tray at the rear of the car.  The driver and front passenger return to sit in their seats.  The smashed windscreen is repaired.

The driver and two passengers are looking out the front of the car, looking shocked and surprised.  A car travels backward round a bend in the road.

The passengers and driver are talking and laughing whilst traveling down the road. None of the cars occupants are wearing seatbelts.

The car returns to its parking spot by the side of the road in between parked cars.  A pizza box is on the rear passengers lap.  The cars occupants are starting to exit the car.

Voice over: If you could have another chance….

The final section of the film shows what would have happened in the cars occupants had been wearing their seatbelts.

The driver and two passengers get into the car.

Voice over:…What would you do differently?

All the cars occupants put their seatbelts on.  As the car is driving off, the rear passenger opens the pizza box on his lap and says “they have given me the wrong pizza, I’ve got pineapple on this one”, the boys laugh.

Another car come round the corner on their side of the road as it has pulled out to avoid a parked vehicle.  The driver brakes and the cars hit head.  The pizza hits the windscreen and the driver and passengers are thrown forward but are restrained by their seatbelts.

The driver is rubbing the back of his neck and all of the cars occupants looked shocked.

Voice over: Think always wear a seatbelt.

Moment of doubt

A man is walking towards a bar in a pub he has an empty pint glass in his hand.  He looks at the bartender.

The bartenders leans on the bar and says “yes sir”

The man looks along the bar trying to decide what he would like to drink.

The lights dim and the background fades, the bartender leans forward and in a different accent says “sir, hello, would you mind stepping out of the car and doing a breath test”

The bartender puts his elbows on the bar and his hands together, he changes his facial expression and in a different accent says “look you had two pints, you’re over the limit. That’s a twelve month band and a criminal record”.

The bartender stands up and his facial expression and accent change again, he says “aye, its company policy I’ve got to let you go”.

He leans forward on the bar, his expression and accent change again, he say’s “I know there’s only twenty thousand miles on the clock but that’s my final offer”.

The bartender slumps and his face becomes sad, the accent changes and he say’s “that’s just great, no license no job. Now what?"

The lights return and the bartender straightens and say’ “So what’s it going to be?”
